You know my very first Faire was way before I even knew that one day I would dream of being a Rennie. I had gone to visit my good friend Donovan out in Colorado Springs and her mom drove me, her and our friend Mary out to the Colorado Renn Faire. Dov and I were wearing some of her mom's old high school prom dresses, which were very rennaissance looking... or at least the best we could do at the time. Mary wasn't very happy because none of the dresses fit her and she had to wear a heavy dark cloak. I had on the most beautiful powder blue dress with just a hint of cleavage. *weg*
The only thing I really remember about the Faire beside what we were wearing is that at one point we had a brief summer shower and Dov and I braved the mud to dance out in the street in the rain. It is still one of my happiest memories.
Stuck as I am in what, until three days ago, was the cold frozen north, I still have about 3 or 4 weeks to go until the Virginia Renn Faire starts. At least I don't have to wait for MDRF or CRF next fall. Every spring I feel the fever and this year it wasn't just spring fever it was faire fever. That's because last year I only made it to GARF. That was a blast but still, I was used to at least two faires a year on multiple weekends.
I would love to be at GARF this year. Once I participated in Joni Minstrel's revolution against the monarchy last year there was no turning back. I want to be a full time Revolutionary!!! I also totally want to be Joni's fangirl and convince her to let me sing harmony on her rendition of Danny Boy!!!
Instead I must plot on how to best invade VARF. Since no one knows me I should be able to sneak in innocently enough in my guise as a wandering scholar. Not that its a guise. Not much of a guise anyway. I also thought I'd post some back logs of my memories of previous faires in the mean time.
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha.
Somehow it just seemed to be the right way to end this crazy blogging experience.
